I created an agent in Claude that has literally given me back 10+ hrs/wk, during my best focus time, that I’ve not had for 30 years.
No exaggeration.
That’s 40+ hours back that I was spending because I’d just dismissed it as necessary work.
It surfaced in my Q1 time audit, looking for more ways AI could help me get my work done better/faster in Q2.
And there it was, the morning routine I’d had for my entire adult life (even weekends), my coffee time while reading the latest business/tech news.
I’ve always loved it. But, it was starting to get a bit much with AI moving at such light speed and staying up to the minute with the latest features, platforms and known issues.
One hour in Claude for a 40+ hour ROI. Still mind boggling.
Once I realized it, within an hour I had designed and built a customized agent in Claude. Its job, to search and find all my go to premier business/tech sources, AI platforms for the latest in small business use cases, research and AI case studies, stats, etc. and deliver it to me every day at 11am.
- First task: it searches, then sums up the key takeaways, cites the URLs, to read further if needed. Screening through the sites that don’t have anything new or useful, even finding details and info I might ordinarily miss doing it manually.
- Then, I set it up to create a formatted, easy to read report and delivers it to me at 11am every day.
- Next iteration, I’m adding a layer to have it add the info I’ll want for my upcoming email and LinkedIn series.
Here’s where it became so much more than time though. Early morning is when I get my best work done. So, not only do I get that search and read time back, but I also get my best thinking time back by getting it delivered at 11 vs. doing it first thing!
I am still absolutely GOBSMACKED writing this today and the impact it’s already had on my business (and life)!
